I flew out of Seattle to Costa Rica earlier this year on Continental... their baggage policy clearly states an extra $50 charge for kiteboards, but allows for free transport of skis or a snowboard. They asked me what was in my bag at the check-in counter (which happens to be a snowboard bag). I said...

I've only had the 7m for about a month so haven't had a chance to really test it! I did have one awesome day on it about 2 weeks ago. In all honestly, I have no idea what the wind speeds are at home. If its too light for my 12, its not worth it - if its super windy, my 7m is perfect. Otherwise I'm o...

I'd actually LIKE to get some kite pants... going to cuba in a couple of months and I hear the jellyfish there are VERY painful. I don't want to mess with them.. I won't fit men's clothing - anybody know where i can order some women's online? and... btw. I don't care if they're not sexy. I look sexy...

Kite_n_rnd... I weight 120lbs, ride a 130 labrat (narrow board) - when I can afford it, I'll probably buy something 125ish but wider. I ride both smooth and v gusty conditions, Wind speed is usually b/w 15 - 30. No waves, normally chop. Any other thoughts? Again, I know I'll probably be happy either...

Quiver Question, North Vegas

What size should I buy?? I currently have an 06 7m Vegas, and want to get another one to replace my older 9m fuel. (I also have an older Boxer 12 which I don’t plan on replacing anytime soon). I’m torn between buying either the 06 9m and 10m Vegas?... Iâ€â...

That may be a good call on the lessons.. we could spend a few days in El Yaque. They do lessons on Coche, but I had the same concern (less efficient). I was under the impression there are usually rescue boats around on Coche - is this not true? any second opinions on if lessons are best on El Yaque,...

Thanks for the info Karen,

I'm hoping to stay at Alex's guesthouse when I'm on coche... although I didn't know he also arranged lessons, I'll email him about that as well.

I'll also pm you for Christie's email,

Thanks!

another Venezuela question - Best spot for lessons?

I'm thinking of going to Venezuela for 2 weeks (early next year) and although I'm experienced, my friend who may join me is in the early learning stages. Is it better to take lessons on Coche or El Yaque? Either way… my current plan is to spend at least one week on Coche. Also âââ€...

Yes - Baja is definitely a possibility, and I know a lot of people who will already be there. I'm only concered that I'll go down there for 2 weeks and only kite a few days due to lack of wind! (which apparently can happen there unless you go for a longer period). But, it is an affordable option. Th...
