Re: Cab bar with Blade Fat Lady

Any 4 line bar with low y will work. Works really well with the 23 in Slingshot bar. The low Y also makes it easy to self land. I have had that kite since the first version and have never flown it on a high y bar, so can't comment, sorry.

Re: proper etiquette

Twice recently I have been approached by other kiters on the beach that wanted to try one of my kites. One was a sponsored kiter who was doing a photo shoot. He didn't have a kite available in the size that I had in my quiver. You should have told this guy to look for a better sponsor. Maybe one th...

Re: Leaking Boston Valve

I have the same issue with a V3 Ozone Reo. The leak is coming from the top of the valve, not the base. So, it has to be from the one-way membrane that keeps the air in while pumping it up, right? I'm going to order just the red part with the membrane(less than $5) and hoping it does the trick. Am I ...

Re: How to unglue pads from a board?

1. tear off as much of the pad with your hands (the glue will still remain) 2. Place a rag over the glue(I use the yellow micro-fiber ones from Costco) 3. Soak the rag with Coleman Camp Fuel 4. let it set for 20 min or so (until the glue softens). The rag keeps the fuel from evaporating. 5. Use the ...

Re: Cabrinha Radar vs Slingshot Rally

Look at the Naish Pivot's. Great all-around kite that you can easily learn on and won't outgrow. The 2017's should be on sale. The bar pressure is lighter than the Rally's too. Just my 2c. BTW, look at the used market to see the resale value of the kites you are interested in. The used market is a g...

Re: Best bankrupt?

I noticed that BEST must have had some new stock arrive this week. They were down to very limited sizes when I look last week, but they seem to have a wider spread of gear in now- and an extra 25% off for Black Friday. Went through the process of ordering a kite/bar this morning. When you get to th...

Re: Buoy Wear Floating Hat for Kiters

I've lost a few baseball caps over the last few years. Sometimes I find them washed up on shore, however, very hard to find in the surf since the cap usually stays a bit submerged. Would love to see a cap without the mesh in the back since sun protection is the main reason I wear it. If there was no...
