Re: UK wind this year....

Kernow was rubbish for wind... but that could be because I bought a new kite. Sorry.

I actually invested in a SUP and some waterproof headphones - it's not a bad sport. A bit slow, but it's nice to find some new watery places.

Leading edge or struts with dropstitch?

Is anyone out in kitesurf R&D investigating this?

I assume some companies must have tried it. Just wondered if any results have been published.

(yes I know it would add weight - lets avoid that discussion)

Re: Woo Screen App - real time jump display

It would be interesting to push some AI libraries into your app. Feed in the phones acceleration sensors + GPS (and maybe miliseconds) then see if it can predict the jump hight. Check the values agains the Woo to see how close the AI gets. Or maybe capture all that data and feed it into AWS machine ...

Re: Toby-s harness

What don't you like about a low hook?

Seems much better in all situations apart from unhooking.

Lower centre of gravity, easier to pivot around (deadman), longer reach, easier to get to depower.... maybe just get used to it, give it a few seesions?

Re: Mystic Aviator seat harness, who have it?

Dakine fusion harness with Ion spreader bar is the best combo. Hard shell harness with really nice clicker spreader bar. Best I've tried over all the years.

Re: any reviews on Rebel 2021

I bought a 12m 2021 Rebel, on the first or 2nd session I noticed one of the struts was deflated, checked and right at the junction between the leading edge and the struts there was a hole, that looked to me like the stitching failed but the kite tumbled on the beach before so I can't be sure and th...

Re: WOO consistency

I don’t have a Woo but it’s very easy to check how high you are relative to your friends kite in the air. If I look down at kites it was definitely a good jump ;-) just assume that have 23m lines plus a bit of kite makes it 25 then assume they have it a 45 deg which makes it sqrt(2)=1.4 so total of...

Re: Kite flying poorly after bladder replacement

What popped the bladder in the first place?

Could be canope has stretched, lines or bridle stretched?

Airtime bladders (the orange ones) are a little heavier than normal ones. But I doubt that would account for what you're feeling.

Re: Low V bar with short reach

Probably worth investing in a kite designed for females, they have a modified bridle that does what you're asking for. Pair this with a bar and lines and maybe a ladies board (slightly smaller, more flex etc)
