Re: What type of oil to use in kite pump?

I just spray a bit of WD40 when I feel it sticky or squeaky and clean the excess. It got me in the water every time.

Re: Florida one kite for all winds?

It's been bad. Another windless October, just like last year. Hopefully November and December will be better. And what is "windless"? For me less than 6 knots. For most kite and windfoilers it means less than 10-12 knots, and for non foilers it means less than 15 knots, and for waveriders it means ...

Re: Accident 8/13/2022

Is it known what the wind speed was at the time of the accident? And how gusty it was?

Re: Tips and Tricks to Repair Kites - add your experience!

Aquaseal takes 12 hours to cure. And the valve has to have pressure on it against the bladder. I got a piece of foam (it can be wood or anything) and drilled a hole that fits the valve snug. Glue the valve, then put the foam on top of the valve, and put some weight on top of the foam, and let it cur...

one two three four five

It's a mystery
I count 6 in Toby's picture.
And don't see the 18 in EDT's picture. Smaller sizes have 5.
I have a 2015 Rebel 18m (used 10 times if I did). It has 6 struts.
Let me know when you don’t want it anymore 😊
Ok. I will. :thumb:

Re: Why do my kite bladders blow out at the wingtip?

When you repair the tip you want a 2 step process. 1) cover the hole with tear aid type A and 2) use glue anywhere there is a seam. Tear aid only works properly where there is no seam but of course since there is a seam at the end of the wingtip, it will leak a little right there. A combination of ...

Tough bladders quick review

Hello out there. I had to replace the main bladder of a 2014 Naish Ride (Octopus System) and I went with a Tough bladder from FixMyKite. Here is a quick review. My options were to get a ready-to-install (valves included) bladder from AirTime for $138 or to get a Tough Bladder from FixMyKite (no valv...
