What’s a wing roller ?

My new Ocean Rodeo Ignite is not thin at all but $$$.

I went to Diani beach at the end of Dec and kites every day for 10 days mostly on a 12m . We stay at one of the nicest hotels but it was very tidal , some days you couldn’t kite in the morning and some days the afternoon.

I’m riding my 5m peak on 27m lines .

I’ve been foiling on my 5m peak when the other Foiler said where on there 10m kites a lot and when the wind drops they swim in while I body drag in .

Nice looking kites . A few friends of mine fly there paragliding wings . It would be nice to know if it keeps out the water like a FS soul2 my friends sits on the water for looong periods of time and relaunches with minimum water in it .

Try and sit on your board like a horse , mine goes under water to my waist but with practice its easy . Now your up higher and holding the lines up as high as possible with a little front line tension and at least 8 kts the leading edge should start to come up .

Keep us posted how that works . I had the 8m for that reason but it wouldn’t pull my 70 kg ass out of the water in less than 8 kts even with 30m race lines with super low loops . I still have the 4-5m but I need the 3m today so I’ll use my 4.5m Concept Air wave ( very good foil kite )

You get wind swell in 5-10 kts ?? Remember the 13m is REALLY slow .I would try the 5 or 6m in 10-15 kts , most places don’t get any wind swell till 12-14 kts .

I think the kite foilers see the wing as a way to foil freely while flagging out the wing as you ride a wave . I think kite foilers should try a 4m FS peak first in 14-18 kts in some swell .
