Re: Edge vs boost vs screamer vs rebel feed back

Thanks for the feed back. Anyone have any feed back about bar pressure and direct feeling? I like a heavy bar pressure and direct feel. I think all these kites are good jumping/hang time kites and differences are mostly personal preferences but unfortunately I have no chance to demo them. I rode a e...

Edge vs boost vs screamer vs rebel feed back

I am having to replace my 2011 north dynos. 90 % of my riding is on a 13m or larger kite.I have narrowed down my choices to those kites. I have been reading all the various posts about those kites. They seem to be pretty similar. I am looking for slow turning, stronger bar pressure and good direct b...

Re: Board size for a beginner

For my two cents , you will make a lot more progress and a lot faster on a very big board , in very very flat water and lighter winds. . So make sure you have at least access to a big board. I would always lend a 158cm board to people starting out and it made all the difference.

Re: Los Roques - Venezuela

I've spent a lot of time in venezuela but have kept away the last three years. Roques are a great kite location but not worth the risk. Also it's hard to figure costs. 7 years ago the exchange rate was 5 to the dollar, last week it was 4,500 to the dollar

Re: Board off tips please

So Toby do you think when you are grabbing the handle you have rotated back and feet up so that the reach is basically horizontal? I've been trying to tell from watching the videos but it is hard to tell. What I can tell is that you get the board off amazingly fast. I have some videos of you in San ...

Re: Board off tips please

Toby thanks.
I know that you use the microloop for everything but rotations but would it make sense to get use to not using the microloop on the non rotational board off so the transition to the rotational board off will be easier?

Board off tips please

I'm determined to finally nail a board off and a board off 360. They've always been my trick goal. I have loose straps, a higher handle, and have been working on flexibility and sitting in a chair putting on and off board (with eyes closed for better muscle memory) So a few tips please. 1. Better to...

Re: Look at these guys...cool! (video)

Hey, I'll be 70 in a couple of months and have been landing some nice back and front 1080s among other airstyle tricks so Toby I figure you have at least 25 more years just to catch up age wise with me and I'm not figuring on stopping anytime soon. Key thing is to not get hurt.

Re: body dragging tips please

thanks for the tips. I'm wondering if, as suggested, it is harder to body drag in a good position with the lower hook of a seat harness. Anyone out there who switches back and forth with seat and waist harness notice a difference? It makes sense to me that the highest hook position would pull you in...
