Re: Anyone kite Belize blue hole?

You wanna kite over a big ass hole, check out Bikini atoll, where the first H-bomb was blown off. If you believe Wiki, people pay $4K to dive there for one week, so it can't be all too dangerous radiation-wise. Put that on your bucket list. Do it in honor of the itsy bitsy women swim outfits :thumb:...

Re: Kite repair business

In my experience, most people do NOT fix their own kites. I'm always surprised that a lot of guys won't even pull a strut bladder to find a leak, let alone attempt a sew job. Seems to me you need a heavy duty sewing machine to seal up leading edges. I've tried with a light weight machine, and no way...

Re: Insane prices for carbon foils.

I do think carbon foils for kiting are still high priced, but don't think you can get that prop new for $750 A quick search turned this up for that model (first in list, $1,775) which is still quite a bit less than a top-of-the line kite board foil/board combos which as I recall are in the $2400 ran...

Re: 2014 Cabrinha Switchblade Bar and lines a let down!!!

I just bought that bar...can you post a picture or diagram of where it let go?

Can you elaborate on this: "the landing line popped on the join"
what landing line? what "join"?

thanks

Re: Cabrinha Launches Its 2015 Gear

Pump no longer standard/included, pay extra for a pump Three options for the bar: Adjustable for a list price of $569 or you can buy a fixed size 45 or 55 for list price of $439 <---- good option Cabrinha! I assume a bag is included...but I can't find anywhere where is says definitively yes, bag inc...

Re: Cabrinha Launches Its 2015 Gear

The wind ranges on the Switchblade are the same for 10m and 11m. That doesn't sound right.
Also, all kites smaller than 10 have shifted to the left on the wind range chart...shape change (improvement) in the smaller sizes?

Re: Where do I attach the leash?

That was my first pulley bar - and the only place other than down at the chicken loop is the ring up at the top labeled #2. Sucks because you need a really long leash. It's a horrible design, there is a huge risk of wrapping the bar, kite lines and leash while it is connected up at #2. In fact, that...
