Re: kiter blown away..hit by car ouch

Can't find anywhere that the Boeri Mojo helmet is available with the EPS foam. It would be good if there was a better helmet for kiteboarding than the current soft foam models. That said, helmets are not going to prevent concussions in hard impacts but they do distribute the force and reduce localiz...

What kind of trouble? Works great with the cheap Airhead pump hose.

The valve works great after I found out you don't use the nozzle, just the pump hose! It does seem smoother than the 2012.

Don't sine the kite. You have to walk or your instructor has to walk until your instructor is under the kite at the edge of the window.

Any brand prefered?
Regular sail tape at West marine would be fine. Last roll I bought was Bainbridge. Something to keep in your kite-fixing kit.

Re: Advice on postage costs for a board

My advise is not to go to shipping stores. Go to shipping companies. To a real Fedex location, not a shipping store that does business with Fedex. Same story with UPS, DHL or any others. Yes, they add a pretty hefty service charge to the shipping. You can also use UPS online, print out the label an...

Re: Repairing large tear in kite

one more piece of advice m2736185. I did some hand stitched repairs before I bought my sewing machine. It would take me over 10 hours for a relatively simple repair. Then I went on craigslist got myself a slantline singer 401a (it comes with a built in triple stitch zig zag which you need) for $50 ...

Re: Washing kites with chlorinated water bad for the coating

The bar should always be washed and preferably rinsed in a bucket. A shop type brush can help get sand off. I wouldn't wash a kite unless it needed repair or if it was super dirty from mud or less than pristine beaches.
