Is the Slingshot RPM a good choice?

The RPM is my pick (bridled) for loops, especially the 10m and smaller sizes. Like said above, and no different with the RPM, larger sizes can be difficult to get overhead in time to soften landings. Check out some of Youri's not too lame loops!

PS. no instructions came with the board, but the screws for the straps seem to be very tricky to get in with all the padding getting in the way. They almost look not long enough. Is there a tip here? Not sure if this helps, tested the Waiman next to the Best Kahoona in the smaller sizes. The main difference I noticed was a much more linear power change for given bar input (sheating in/out) on the Kahoona. The Waiman felt very on/off with a short amount of bar throw. Not sure if this is an issue ...
