Re: boards getting bigger?

I like how Nobile size their fifty50 boards. I ride a 140x40. The longer length helps with the chop and narrower width makes it easy to hold down power for more explosive pop. Most other boards I see in the 140 size are between 42-45cm wide. Sure good for boots, but hard to hold down power with straps

Re: Low wind specs 14m Evo, Catalyst and RPM Need to choose

Be careful, there is a difference between a low wind kite and a big boy kite (i.e. heavy person kite) a 14m kite. For a me a low wind like must be able to relaunch in low wind too. I would be looking at either an Airush Varial x- race, Ozone edge or North Dyno. I've only flown the 17m Airush Varial ...

Re: Slingshot Lunacy 2008 129CM Still a good board today?

I bought a 2009 Lunacy recently off our local second hand forum. Sure there is nothing wrong with the board. It is a particular style with its wide tips and stiff flex, but I couldn't say that while riding, that it felt like an obsolete board, however the straps on the other hand are totally obsolet...

Re: Wakestyle Board

I've ordered the nobile fifty50 wake edition board. Read their description, sounds like what you are looking for too. I use a pair of Liquid Force vantage CT boots. I like the easy in, easy out of Velcro.

Re: Tona Pop as a regular wakeboard?

I rode my 2012 Cab Custom with boots behind a boat. It went quite well actually. It was too slippery without fins but the fins I had were too grippy. Being a flexy board, landings on the flats were soft, but the board did flatten out and became super fast, so had to be careful about getting too much...

Re: Kiting spots + hire options? Lifou/ Noumea / Villa / Fij

Take kite and harness with you and just buy a board when you get there. You can either sell it for cheap before you leave to recoup some of the cost or you can bring it back with you if you really like it! Much cheaper than renting and you can easily pack kites into a normal suit case.

Re: Nobile 50fifty kite?

Nobile have been making amazing boards for years. I see them as a board manufacturer. I think you're better off buying a kite from someone who's specialized in manufacturing kites. Not saying that nobile kites are bad, just that you will be better serviced in terms of availability, warranty and resa...

Re: Kiteboard Weight

I choose the lightest gear I can as I travel internationally a lot with my gear, so every gram I shave off helps. Airline baggage allowances are so low nowadays!
