Re: north bar question

thanks I understand now. Just got a couple of sessions in with the dyno 13m. .Wow the hang time is great! very stable feeling, good power in jumps. I got a microloop through airstyle and have installed it but haven't had any wind yet to try it. Had 31m lines but had to cut them back to 25m because o...

Re: north bar question

thanks Toby, So when the stopper is pushed up as far as it goes and the depower strap is set to full power I set bar throw so that it reaches the stopper when my arms are fully extended. I do that by adjusting the vario cleat position. . So what I am not sure about is then how do I trim the kite so ...

north bar question

Could anyone with experience with north bars help me out? I am new to north kites and just got a 2011 dyno. I am trying to tune the bar and lines. I want to have the maximum depower throw with the bar so I adjust the vario cleat close to the top pulley. However I would also like to have the maximum ...

Re: Nov/Dec/Jan caribbean/central-america recommendations

i've spent the last two winters in San Andres colombia. its a small island off the coast of nicaragua. fantastic place for kiting. air temp 85 degrees, water temp 85 degrees. a great kiting area with very flat water inside an inside reef. on shore winds so if you have a problem you can drift/float b...

Re: Tested a 13 sqm kite

Thanks for the feed back. I am new to north kites. With the longer lines on the dyno 13m which setting for the back lines does it make sense to use? The lighter bar or the heavier bar attachment point?

Re: Tested a 13 sqm kite

I just a 2012 13 m dyno. It has 32 meter lines. I haven't flown it yet. I am used to my 12 and 16 m switchblades that I think have 25 meter lines. Do the longer lines just affect the turning speed? Or higher up does the kite have more power due to winds increasing with height? What about stability e...

Re: Micro loop question

Toby as I understand it you don't use the microloop when doing a rotation. Why is that. Which tricks do you use microloop for and which ones don't you use? What are the reasons for the differences?

Re: Trick definition

Thanks. I really enjoyed the DVD. I ride strictly hooked and am the definition of old school since I am 66. But I can do double front and back rolls/ rotations and the occasional triple so I don't feel so bad. I have been also working on a little different riding style. You know how ice skaters when...

Trick definition

Just a quick question. I have enjoyed a great deal watching the air style dvd, but what is the difference between a single back roll and a back 360, a double back roll and a back 720 etc.? Is toby calling it a back roll if you don't send the kite and a rotation if you do? I know it's not really all ...
