Re: Help - Kite Gear Stolen In Miami $500 Reward

It was still in my browser cache... I took a screen shot, and I will send it to you if you want to PM me with an email address. Or just shoot me an email and I will reply to you with the sceenshot pasted into a powerpoint slide. Best of luck to Chris getting his gear back.

Re: Help - Kite Gear Stolen In Miami $500 Reward

Wow, that was quick... I had looked at the ad less than an hour ago. No I don't. It was a photo of a board matching the description (colors) and with a 305 phone number. The board was specified to be a 133X39 2010 XRide. The photo appeared to have been taken with the board leaning up against a wall ...

Re: Help - Kite Gear Stolen In Miami $500 Reward

Saw an XRide posted on CL in the Miami area in the last few days. Don't know what the size of the missing board is.

Re: Florida?

West Palm Beach is the closest point of approach of the Gulf Stream. I'd say North of Stuart is where you might need a full suit. I'm about 80 miles north of Miami, don't even own a full suit and I have never had an issue unless the air temp is less than 60 (which is maybe only 10 days a year, typic...

Re: Florida?

Windy season in South Florida is typically November through March, although I'm not offering any guarantees. There is a wide variety of conditions available, so it depends on what you are looking for. There is great flat water riding in Miami or the Florida Keys. I live in Jupiter, so not much acces...

Re: Rebel 2013 5th line size

Most responsive will be the shortest line set available, with some loss of low end performance (less sweep area when sineing the kite to generate apparent wind). 22M would probably be a good compromise.

Re: Metric Screws for Fly Door fins

I can't ever find the stainless metric hardware at Home Depot or Lowes, but all of the Ace Hardware stores I have been in have a great selection of this type of hardware.

This Ace store looks like it's less than a mile from Chase Palm Park in Santa Barbara.

Re: Are lightwind boards $1000+ now...really??

Haven't used a skimboard much in light wind, but it is not even a comparison between what I can get out in on my Sector 60 vs my Naish Custom Global. In 12 knot or less conditions, I used to struggle to get out on the Naish, even with a 15 M kite; I can pump my 12 and take the Sector and be easily c...

Re: safe setup for Ozone light II 5m

North has a loaded 5th line setup for the rebel as well. The loading tension is maintained at the split above the bar, and there is no tension on the 5th line below the bar until you hit the QR. A couple of stainless rings in the right spot could provide the same setup for the Ozone, I am sure.

Re: Wanted North Rebel 2007 7m LE bladder

I second the recommendation for Jim Haddox...

He did a full set of bladders for my 2007 North Rebel 12M.
