Why use one then? There is not a single good reason why anyone should use a leash with a TT. Just because some others use one doesn't make it a good idea.

Re: Struggling to jibe, any tips to not fall into despair?

There are a lot of great tips here, and I'm also going to say lose the straps. The most important thing is to never, ever give up. Some people say leave the TT at home, but I found it was helpful to my frame of mind to have it on the beach to go for a rip once the stinkin' thinkin' would start up, g...

Re: Which surf board? Wam or Global=

The 2012 WHIP is hands down the best small to mid size production wave board I've ever ridden, I have the 5'8" and weigh 180 pounds, I'm gonna ride that thing into the sunset, I'll never get rid of it. Getting a good deal is important but not as much as getting a board that fits you. The WAM is a gr...

Re: 443 Euros / 550 USD / 349 GBP for a bar? Have they gone

The new North bar is adjustable for width on the fly, has a new depower cleat, rope, and stopper ball, lines are new, outside line trim adjustments are new, new floats, bar ends, and grip. Roto head construction, hole materail and conection points for the roto head. How is this just a new color for...

Re: North rebel 2012 12m vs13m vs 14m

I've flown the 12, 13 and 14 Rebels, all amazing kites. I currently own a 12 and 14. (I'm 175 pounds.) Considering your weight, current quiver and where you ride, I'd say grab the 13 with a standard 24 bar. Though the 14 turns great, I prefer to fly it on 20m lines. If you ride a surfboard that 13 m...

Aruba Kite Sizes: Week of Dec 25

Hey All,

Going to Aruba next week and am wondering how many kites to bring.

I'm bringing both a TT and a surfboard for Boca Grandi.

Can I get by with my 9 and my 12 or do I have to bring my 6 too?

South Padre Island - Nov / Dec

I'm looking visit SPI in a couple of weeks. I weigh about 180 and am wondering what 3 kites to bring. I have a 5, 7.5, 9, 12, 13.5. I know I can look at forecasts and historicals but I'm interested in the good word from the beach. Also, I'd like to do some downwinders oceanside (I ride strapless mos...

One down, one to go: Super fast reply from Carol at Naish Hawaii who said no go.
She says that colour was a custom.
Damien's kite, I'm guessing... :)
