Re: Peniche Portugal or somewhere else?

I‘d say if you want to kite in waves, Guincho (close to Lisbon, which is nice) is the windiest and most reliable spot in Portugal in summer. It is a classic wave windsurf spot for mainland Europe. Been there so many times as a windsurfer in the late 80ies/early 90ies. June can be epic, probably the ...

Re: Kitesurf spot Portugal

Windy season in Portugal usually is May to End of August. The „Nortada“ is the starting point of the summer tradewinds and blows along the Portuguese coast from North/North West. From my experience it is not that strong on average but gets accelerated at certain spots and increased by thermal effect...

Re: Bar for Naish Pivot

You need a bar with a low V, so your Ozone Bar will work. Back lines need knots at their end, front lines loops, so you might have to use pigtails to adapt.

Re: new Nort Navigator Bar?

We often rig up on a wet sandy beach. I take care that I give the lower part of the bar a rinse, once I am on the water. We ride a lot in the shallows where there is always sand mixed in the water. One of my kite buddies had the Slingshot Sentry V1 having a lot of wear in the described area. He now ...

Re: new Nort Navigator Bar?

Looks similar to earlier Reedin and Slinghshot bars with auto-rotation. Their main lines are well sealed, the PU-tubing is really tight and the line is stitched to the tube at the ends. The interesting part is how the eyelet is designed. From the image it looks like the Slingshot Sentry V1 or Reedin...

Re: Aluula 3 strut - Evo vs NVision vs Hypermodel

In a nutshell the review says that the 12m Aluula version turns slower than the Dacron version because of the stiffness. They like the 8m version a lot and find it superior to the classic version because of the way the kite loops in general and also performs in double loops. Bar pressure and steerin...

Re: Reedin Supermodel 3 - back line setting?

Yes, I do on my 11m Pivot, which is supposedly very similar to the Supermodel. Which kites do you compare the bar pressure with? The Pivot has about medium pressure, with the current model less than previous versions. My kite buddy's North Orbit for example has noticeable less pressure (I compared t...

Re: F one bandit 2014 with Naish base barre

I think the Bandit needs a high V on the front lines and your Naish Bar has a low V. You can probably tune it by adding a splitter on the front lines. There are a couple of brands which should have these as spare parts, e.g. F-One, Duotone, Kite Attitude

Re: North navigator Pro

Would be interesting to see how they designed the eyelets where the tubes go through. The first generations of the Reedin Bar and the Slingshot Sentry had a lot of abrasion there, very quickly damaging the tubes, especially if you use it at a sandy spot. Reedin moved to the single tube auto-rotation...

Re: (European) car for kitesurfing?

I think the largest trunks In the classic station wagon category do have the MB E-Class T-model and the Skoda Superb Station wagon. E-class should be pretty reliable and long-lasting as a used car. I would rather get one of those than an Audi or BMW.
