Re: drysuit with socks size question for those that use them

+8 on the INTEGRATED SOCKS - its really NOT even a discussion - get them. I have size 12 feet (sneakers) maybe 12.5 in some brands - I have an OR Heat with SOCKS and wear a range of thin to medium thickness wool socks under, my favorites are a pair of "Darn Tough Vermont" ski socks which have just ...

Re: Warm booties for reptiles

Get an Ocean Rodeo Ignite drysuit with built-in socks. Wear snowboard socks underneath. I use the Burton mid-weight socks. Then put 5mm booties over the dry-suit socks. Toasty feet even in February. +1 a little OT but if you really want to be dry and warm this is a premium option - or Soul or Heat ...

Re: Ocean Rodeo Soul vs. Ignite

Solarset, You will be super stoked to have a proper drysuit - the gang at Ocean Rodeo have it wired. Just pick the model and color you prefer , in time everyone at your spot will have one. While you most certainly could drive an hour with your OR suit in doff mode, you might get warm from the under ...

Re: 3 or 5 strut for bigger riders

IMG_2630.JPG NotsoShort - Great question, take it for what it's worth...my .02 I'm 125kg just a few years into my kiting life so maybe similar timelines... I won't say you NEED to have 5 struts to accomplish your jump goals but as I frequently say, " DON'T LISTEN TO THE LITTLE PEOPLE." They really ...

Re: Just now joining the fun. New kite surfer alert

YOU ARE DOING IT WRONG. If you want to get rid of left vs right to the degree it is possible in the universe, than do some windsurfing lessons. It is the only sure bet....... P.s. you can't do this if you have made your first jumps kiteboarding. P.p.s if you have made your first jumps windsurfing, ...

Re: Just now joining the fun. New kite surfer alert

DIYBrad, Agree 1000% on having good instruction - KITING is a sport where you really can't DIY at first anyway. Good story about respecting the eventual hazards - wrapped lines around the bar ends are VERY NO BUENO - also let's not wrap lines around wingtips, or hands - let's just avoid ALL WRAPPING...

Why do Wetsuit Makers Hate Hands & Feet?

So you can BUY a full suit, shorty, hooded, 3/4 even suits specially designed for kids, woman etc. etc. etc. When you BUY gloves or booties you have some options but NOT the right ones. Would you BUY a hood that didn't have a hole for your face? I have 3/2 suits 5/3 etc. where are MY 5/3 and 3/2 boo...

Re: New set: XR/GTS or Rebel/Dice

'hey Kerplow, 3rd party info but for what it's worth... As a Rebel user still currently on the 2017's which are awesome - I'm always following the buzz. According to a DT team rider - he reports that the 2021 Rebel rides and feels like the old - (aka 2017 and prior) years more so than the intervenin...
