Re: Repairing Peak bridle

Oh, that's a sleeved line. On my Peak4 it's stiffer than the b-safe line I think. On the Peak5 / control bar 2 the beginning of the b-safe is blue and sleeved as well. That feels similar to the orange lines to me. I think you could order just that line from flysurfer. Look up the line plan online an...

Re: Repairing Peak bridle

The coloured line, or the thin white bridle? I have repared the white bridle line on a Peak 11 this way. I used D-Splicer dyneema whipping twine, mostly because i had it laying around and it looked kind of the same thickness. On the peak 4 the B-safe is almost the same as the bridle, on my Peak 5 it...

Re: What mistakes did you make learning to foil?

Can you jump straight into foiling and skip twin tipping? From your video they look like two different skill sets? Reason is I just started learning twin tipping, but the last 3 to 4 times I've been at my beach, there's only been 8 to 12 knots of wind, so I only see people foiling. I'm thinking abo...

Re: Where Can I buy bridle line?

Im not sure what you mean by "bridle" line, and what is referred to online as bridle line is often for tube kites and different too. Are you talking about the thinnest lines directly on the kite? It's not very easy to replace these on a foil kite I'm guessing. I've build my own flying lines, you hav...

Re: What mistakes did you make learning to foil?

Wear a helmet and if you have a sharp foil/stab a full wetsuit and booties. If you have a crash vest go ahead and take that too. It will help with a little float, and make waterstarts easier as well as protect your body from crashes. There will be crashes. Go to a spot without big waves or swell and...

Re: Ultra light wind foiling kite for the just past beginner foiler

I will try that next time I have some normal wind. I don't have a windmeter, but it was flags not flagging kind of conditions and I was just happy flying it a bit. It feels very similar to my Peak 11, and I loop that in the same way. Today was very strange conditions with thunderstorms and gusts. I ...

Re: Ultra light wind foiling kite for the just past beginner foiler

Just tried my Kauper Falcon 11m for the first time, could not get up on foil in very very light wind. Need a bit of practice and a few adjustments with it first. But overall impressed. It flew, and it relaunched of the water 5 out of 6 times. My Peak would not have relaunched, or gotten me on foil e...

Re: Slingshot Infinity 99 front wing absorbing water

I would not risk fixing it just hoping the lanolin will not stick, there will be force on it tightening the screw that can compromise your 'mould release' at the edges. If the fuse is stuck in you will never get it out. I can't see clearly on the picture if it's dry carbon or a void of some kind. Bu...
