Are there any online articles that clearly explain how the 5th lines work? (steps for depower, relaunch, rigging, etc.). I have heard it explained here, but never having seen anyone fly a 5th line, I still can't picture how it works and the benefits vs. the complexity.

Thanks for any tips. :thumb:

Look people, I appreciate all the little tips.... Wendy, look, you're the one that asked if we had "Any comments on this?" You got comments! what are you complaining about? If you just wanted someone to agree with you that the new bags suck, well, there's already 3 threads going on about that. :D O...

Bought a 4/3 ripcurl this year that i'm real happy with (after trying on several other brands). Their new material (don't know the name, its on all the lables) is very flexible and stretchy. No, its not a 5/3, but I don't even realize I have the 4/3 on when I'm kiting, FWIW.

... Don't take this as "official" slingshotspeak, but with the dump valve open, I fold the kite tip to tip, then roll it as tight as poss without totally squeezing the crap out of it, working down the leading edge. As your doing this, excess air gets squeezed out. I then roll from the leach end, th...

Thanks, ox for the info. I'll pass it on. Both kites are under under 16M so hopefully more in the "fun" range. She is looking at a 14 amp and I think the Airblast is a 11.5(?) projected {8.5 sized?} Anyway, that's great info. I also wasn't sure if they made any big innovations between the years that...

Wipika kite question (2002 Airblast vs. 2003 Amp)

A friend asked my kite advice on a Wipka she was looking at and well...I don't know anything about them. So, can anyone give guidance on the differences between?; 1) 2002 Wipika Airblast 2) 2003 Wipika Amp I'll leave the sizes out since she is really wondering how the two kites would compare perform...

Re: Golf bags no good after December 1st

The airlines are going to be charging for golf bags as of December 1st. My friend is a pilot for United and he said that ALL of the major airlines are now going to charge. This would suck and is hopefully not the case. But, it'd only work if they all did it. Take skiing and snowboarding for instanc...

Naish are bringing out a version of the Golf bag have a look on their website. :thumb: Very cool. Competition always brings out better options. Has anyone seen this bag to compare against the NSI version? Be nice to know which has more features (board straps, padding, straps, size, etc.) Both versi...
