Re: Wave riding Right Of Way - NOT !!!

Wow....still going!!! I windsurf and kitesurf sometimes doing both during a daily session. I thought that was a brilliant photo personally. :thumb: Yeah kooky kitesurfers are a nuisance when windsurfing, but then again they are a nuisance kitesurfing also. Windsurfing is generally less manuve...

Re: Two very different types of kiters.

hmmm.... I think to see someone in serious trouble and not assisting if it's safe to do so is pretty poor form. I don't think you always need to, if they are cool and okay with a long swim. I've certainly appreciated it and sacrificed a few good sessions dragging someone in. That said, going out in ...

If the Nomad is an IDS kite, just pull in the two front lines till the kite rolls on it's back then launch C kite style.

Re: Are all sizes really equally good?

I wouldn't say 15m for a C kite is big, same as a 12/13 flat one and pretty much normal. If you'd said 19 - 22m for a big kite, then that would be a big kite!!

But hey if people dig small kites and surfboards, then that's their thing, no need to knock it!

Re: excluding unhooked riding are we in a sport ???

Kitesurfings a sport, but for most it's pretty relaxed!

If you take windsurfing for a comparision, it's far more exhausting and better for "forced" cardio fitness. I know some of the windsurf crew joke about kitesurfing being couch surfing as they see many pot bellied kiters on the water.

Re: Single or multi inflation system? (Poll)

I've replaced the LE bladder a couple of times on my one pump REVs by myself. Yea it may take a bit longer than a non one pump kite but I don't find it difficult. It also makes sure you don't have any twists in the bladder. No biggy for me. Yeah agreed having repaired both the types, the Slingshot ...
