Re: Are bindings really that dangerous???

Good call J-Dogg! FYI - You'll probably want to get a larger board (138 or bigger depending on your size) with some good rocker. Throw your boots on your regular board and give them a shot. Once you're hooked on the "locked in" feeling (10 minutes into your first session or 1 second after your first...

Re: Are bindings really that dangerous???

This is a pretty informative, short video on boots vs. straps. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zSSKisOk2lo&feature=player_embedded A couple more things: - while it does take longer to put boots on, you'll never have to drag for your board again. - crashes can be a little tougher, but I feel like I la...

Re: Are bindings really that dangerous???

J-Dogg, Don't be scared of boots! I switched this year and will likely never go back to straps. I love the secure feeling that boots give me when kiting. If you're coming from a wakeboarding background I think you'll actually not like straps that much. And don't worry about getting in and out of boo...

Re: which mystic hp leash should i choose?

In general, I really like the Mystic products however I personally don't like the "pull towards you" release on their leashes. If you try to grab your leash after a pass to pull your kite back towards you, it's possible to accidentally release the leash. I think the Liquid Force padded leash is a be...

Re: Fone's new web site - COOOOOOL

Obviously a ton of work went into creating the Bandit 3 site and it looks very cool indeed. However, I find these all-flash sites a little difficult to navigate. In the end I just wanted to see the kite, bar and the movie (which is really great). I'd recommend some "quick links" to the key assets on...

Re: Ocean Rodeo raises the bar to a whole new level

Nice work OR! Not only does the bar look well thought out and refined, but you've done a great job showing us (via the gallery) how it works and looks. Thank you for this! Other vendors take note.

Re: Kite companies and crappy websites

Amen brothers!!! I think it's hilarious how companies decide to advertise on this forum before updating their own freaking website. The Eclipse surge is a great example. Also funny to see companies have Toby make "new product announcements" and yet nothing on their websites. Some of the worst market...

Re: Bindings and straps...(not bindings vs. straps!!)

Unless you want to drill some holes in your lunacy, I don't think you'll be able to get the unions to fit. Sorry mate!
