Why make it so complicated?
A 4 line bar goes for a 4 line kite, and a 5 line bar for a 5 line kite.
High or low Y doesnt matter.
If connections are reversed, just change'em, takes a few minutes and you never need to do it again

that freestyle setup you made looks good
there's not in of size difference between the 8 and 9 so I think I'm going to take the 7.
Where I live it's very gusty so it can be 25 gusting 50 sometimes. the 7 may be better for those days idk
How's the low end on the orbits? does the high end of the reach assure a good transition between the 12 and 9 or is there going to be an unconfortable spot between those two?
Thanks !
You're right. The only time I enjoyed the 7m was when it was similar conditions.
On the 21'/22' models the Orbit is a bit better, but it's not great. There will be some overlap as the Reach has reasonable high end.
Although, if your primary discipline is unhooking in light wind, the Pulse would be a better fit. If you plan to do 90% free ride and 10% unhooking, Reach will be better. If it's the other way, choose the Pulse.

If you want looping:
7/9/11 Orbit - wind range covered ~18 to 50kn
If you want freestyle:
7/9 Orbit, 12 Reach - wind range covered ~15 to 50kn
At 95-100kg, I don't like the 7m as it's too quick and droppy for me. I do however, love looping the 8m. If you want more looping and don't often go out in 40kn+, get the 8m instead of the 7m.
What wind ranges do you take the 8, 9 & 11m Orbit in? Assuming you're riding a twintip.

11m: 20-30kn
10m: 25-35kn
9m: 30-45kn
8m: 40kn+
That's the min/max windrange on the 11m for me. The others have a bit of leeway.

If it is 4 line kites, all bars are compatible.
You might have to change the knot/loop if they are reversed, but super easy to do, and if you do it at the kite, the bar will work for all your kites.
For 5 line kites you obviously need a 5 line bar - but these are extremely rare nowadays.
Peter
Hi! Can you explain the steps about how to reverse the knot/loop please? I ride Ozone Enduro 12m at the moment and I am thinking about maybe getting a Reach 9m and keep the Ozone bar.

Does any one fine the navigator bar a bit wishy washy. Too much slack in the lines and not coming under tension enough when pulling the bar in? Even when tuned up?

Same for me, please. I have Duotone Neos, so for me I would prefer to reverse the order at the bar as I'm thinking of getting a non-Duotone bar (issues with Clickbar, lines).
Also, can anyone recommend a good, simple bar with good lines to be used in waves. Currently I have an old North Trustbar 2017, which is nearing its end.
Thanks so much.

nothing better than those old north bars. I would buy any other control bar and then use all those new lines and leaders and grip and swap back in that awesome north QR cleats and other hardware. Or get the new Duotone control bar should be the same as the old north trust.

Been riding for 15 yrs, most of the time on F-one Bandits (great allround kites anbd still use them for wavws
95kg
Switched to North 2021 as Boosting and kitlooping is 90% of the time on the water.
Best kite
- Reach 12m , fastest turning kite I've had, and can do kitloops like no other 12m I've tried, (a much quicker F-one Bandit)
- Orbit 10m , Basically close to a one-kite-quiver, riding it somtimes when all others are on 12m, and great for kiteloops (always climbs out and catches you)
- OrBit 8 m, can hold 40 knt winds
