Several new accounts have been added to the KSI including how lack of leash use can cause a car accident, descriptions of recent serious dragging and board impact accidents are related along with an early kite tangle incident.

All the Kiteboarding Scenarios prepared to date have been collected into a pdf file along with email comments. More KS should be sent along soon, so stay tuned.

Reference documents on the Safe Kiteboarding Guidelines, How to Try to Avoid Lofting and the Kite Leash Test are also included. More reference documents are in the works and will be added over time.

I just heard about another tangled kite episode today. Details will be presented in the KSI once all the information is in but it sounded like a close, nasty incident. No one was seriously injured but one rider was dragged at high speed by two kites over quite a distance. Have other folks been involved in tangled kite incidents, if so what was your experience and how did you deal with it?

Also, the recent addition to the KSI includes the first automobile accident that I have heard about that was caused by a runaway kite (no leash used). Have others heard of car encounters with runaway kites?
