Dominique and Bruno Legaignoux have a new site up and running. Only in french for now with the english version to follow. Should prove to be very informative and clear up many issues about their designs and patents.
Watch out the pirates!

erm... These brothers invented and hold the design patents for gore shaped inflatable kites. They started Wipika and license Naish, Cabrinha, Slingshot, RRD, Windtech, F-One, Flexifoil etc etc etc etc... to make the same style of inflatable wings.
So you could say they do make their own kites!
Bruno Legaignoux is no longer with Wipika as a company and his new kite is called Takoon!
Respect from I.

aaah.
I thought that they are the guys from Takoon, but didn't have their names in mind.
But didn't know that these guys invented the tube kites.
I knew that Wipika has the patent for inflatables. Who ownes the patent, the guys or Wipika?

The Guys!
Takoon is now representing the roots.
Wipika International Ltd is now fully owned by Japanese dude Etsushi Matsuo after Bruno sold his final share in the company and left to set up Takoon.
This is why, I 4 one, am awaiting the arrival of the Takoon kit with much anticipation.
Without the original designers, Wipika are now reportedly working with Japanese paragliding company UP for R+D, namely german designer, Christian Rönning. Marketing wise I read that Franck-Yves Nicoulaz formerly of AHD will be involved. Good luck to them.
Takoon in da house!

let us know when you got that stuff and tested it!
I already posted some pics of the new Takoon stuff in the forum, but no-one has an idea yet how they ride!
Maybe you'll be the first one!
looking forward to it!

Sure will do. Unfortunately I have found out I cannot get any kites before I go for testing in Spain first 2 weeks of 2002. 3rd week in Jan is the call on availability, can't wait.
All I've heard briefly from a good source who flew the proto 8.5 and 10.5 is they have more power than Airblast without the jellyfish wobble. Just what I wanted to hear.

that's too bad.
Well, will see how much power they have.
If they really have that much power it is great for me since I love to go high. Therefore I like your "signature" a lot!
Cheers
