The XX series is probably the nicest board you can buy that is not a custom. Very light weight, pads, straps, and grab handle in one package. The rails have a shaped tucked edge like a surf board, which is very forgiving and won't slice you open like a knife. I have a traditional compression molded board with a sharp seam on the rail and I like that board because you can edge like crazy, but the thing is a weapon. The 135x38 XX board that I have is my fun board for the waves, trying new tricks, and riding in sloppy choppy conditions. The 7cm fins are a great combo with the softer rails for wave riding. I tried the board with all the fins 8 at once and it felt too slow, so I just use the 4 and it's great. If you can get a good price for the board, buy it you'll be stoked. I just wish that I could have gotten the 130x36 and the 135x38.
