Looks like some competitors showed up with Bows and SLE's.

What portion of the riders had Bow/SLE kites?

How did they do in the competition?

Did any inversions occur?

Clinton and Stacy were on Waroos.
Irma was on a Sonic
Bryan on a Crossbow.
The rest on Regular kites.

Andy and Mike were amazing.

Andy on a yarga 11 and mike on an RRD 9.

One inversion of the Waroo when it was hit by a wave, any kite would have done the same thing.
Clinton crashed the waroo in the waves another time and it looked like it was all over but it relaunched by its self out of the rough surf. Impressive!

How many competitors were there? There are only 4 women noted in the results; were there only 4 women competing?
Hopefully the conditions improve for today.....

I think the girls and guys results where off a little! Melissa Gil won for the girls and man did she ride well, quite impresive on here JN kite. Andy Clinton and Mikey where also very fun to watch. Other than that we could have not had better conditions. Thanks to Neil Hutchison for all his work and Jeremy at Jupiter kiting for such a great tournament.

Yeah ... Rick's results are just from the first heat .... the people who made it into the finals. The final results for the girl's freestyle event: 1) Melissa, 2) Bri, 3) me. But it was kind of whacked ... there were 8 girls total competing in the first heat, and as soon as we got onto the water, the wind (directly onshore) completely died, and if you could get off the beach, ride around in the shorebreak and throw one trick, you advanced. Sonja, who is an amazing rider, and should have definitely advanced, didn't have a big enough kite to get her off the beach. The final results for the guy's freestyle: 1) Mike, 2) Clinton, 3) Andy.
