it has to fly.
I use a 11m fuel on ice and it flies up in 6 knots;)

I had problems with a Cabrinhakite as well. The german distributor told me, that a bad flightbehaviour could be a sewingproblem. The italian distributor didn't even know about any problems about bad flightbehaviour. He said it's 'cause of me. The italian distributor sold shit and he couldn't even imagine. Another problem might be the unequal attachment.

Are you launching it unhooked?

If so, it's more likely to be over sheeted on the back lines and stalling if the trim isnt right. Try pulling the depower strap all the way in when you launch and see if it flies. Then hook in and adjust the depower strap until the tips just barely start to point outwards when the bar is pulled in all the way.

Dude in 12 to 14 knots you need an 18meter of bigger kite like that. A 10 will fly but theres just no way youre going anywhere. Go to and read the tunning tips for ensuring set up.

any kite should be able t foy stable in 12 knots.
i know riders going with 11 or 12 meters in winds this low.

so it is an 05 model, ok.
are the lines on the bar correct and is the recon in place?
when putting the lines out, they should be about the same length (all four)
and the lines coming from the kite (silver frontlines, black/yellow backlines)
should be roughly about hte same length, too.
make sure, the recon works on the kite by testing it on the ground.

make sure the recon system is assembled correctly on the bar side.

when you're launching, or trying to launch,
how does the kite behave. can you notice the tips of the kite having a 'V' like angle?

Nope, a 10m² CO2 will certainly not fly in 12Knots...

Cabrinha are really good kites but really heavy in comparison to lets say Takoon & North...

And even a Takoon Skoop 1 11,5,² (the lightest 11,5 in history ;-) ???) will not really fly with such wind...
