first off this is not a best unique problem
check out this

and just do a search on quick release on this forum, it is an industry wide problem
but Simon, i think best can do better than sticking their head in the sand and saying, "no problem" because it is, the reason you haven't got a ton of email about it is i suppose that most people don't go around testing the QR under 300 lbs of load
i'll say it again and again and again and again, there needs to be static test that all QR should pass and it should be tested also with sand, also all bars should pass a static test and a dynamic test (say drop a load from 6 feet).
wam bam, the bar passes the Rick I (copyright) safety test seal of approval. don't buy a bar without it.....
i would think best as an industry leader should be getting togethor with some others and driving this
right now it seems the manufacturers are doing a slam bang job of delivering some great performing kites but some basic things need to be addressed,
it doesn't take a mechanical engineering degree and 20 years of experience testing things to see that some things still aren't right
and for the record i do own a waroo and the bar and someday, if the rain ever stops, and it is windy when i don't have to work, I may even fly it, with my slingshot surefire pro spreader btw
