NAISH BOXER SLE LAUNCH

Postby Ben Meyer » Tue Jul 18, 2006 9:03 am

The 2007 Naish Boxer SLE site is now on-line! This is the first in a line of our mini-web sites that, believe me, are a wealth of information, tips, photos, and videos.

The Boxer SLE has drastically changed from the Boxer kites of the past as it is now an SLE kite. Built to be an "all-terrain kite" (ie not just for learning and not just for cruising), the Boxer SLE this year takes all that we have learned about building SLE kites and added some new kick-ass features and improved upon the performance, feeling, and overall quality.

With the new SLE Control Bar, you can also choose to use the kite as a 1:1 ratio (ie no pulleys) or as a 2:1 ratio (ie with pulleys). So if it is MAX depower you want, go 2:1, if it is super light bar pressure you want, go with 1:1...you choose.

It has not been an easy task collecting all of the info that you will find on the mini-site. You will find enough tech sheets, user manuals, and downloads to choke a donkey, and more than you could ever ask for to learn about the kite. Hope you like the site and look for the kite soon in shops near you.

Go to http://www.naishkites.com and you will be linked directly to the Boxer site.

Hi there,
if you have a direct contact to the Webdesigner, tell him this: Under "Downloads" he accidently got the PDFs mixed up. The English PDF is linked to the german one - and the german Link downloads the english PDF :-) - I just saw: He got mixed up PDF-Names!

Greetings from Hamburg - Germany,
Nikolaus

Chicken Finger WTF!?!

Postby kjorn » Tue Jul 18, 2006 10:32 am

WTF!?!?!

Take a look at the bar system, there's an item called the chicken finger. Faaaaaak orf!

It's a donkeys dick.

Thats whats its called. We all feel shame when we tell our mothers that a session was going well until the donkeys dick slapped us around the face.

But thats no reason to rename it and pander to the old women who faint when a rude word is mentioned.

Hell, chickens don't have fingers, where as male donkeys do have dicks, so at least we're being anotomically correct.

Chicken finger. How to suck the last drop of fun out of the English language. Bastards.

I disagree totally with you Toby.
The video tells you very little about the kite.
The pro's tell you very little about the kite.
Overall, the information is totally crap in terms af giving you details about the kites performance.

Apparently it is a super kite and good at everything. The only thing new to me was a picture of the lines doubling back around the bar pulleys in 1:1 mode.

We will have to wait until someone gives us a written review of the kite.

it looks like they still have the old stopperball system like the shockwave had that works only for few hours until you have to replace the stopperball.
Shockwave has been and still is a great kite but the stoppeball sucks and now they use the only thing not working on the shockwave also on the new boxer, sigh.

This kite is great, I am fortunate enough to have tried them out, but I am biased :P

The kite handles like a dream and the new bar system, feel and of course price, is truly awesome!

Way to go Naish!
