Anyone ever tried this?
Tow in surfing, but with your buddy towing you in with a kite instead of a jet ski. He tows you in to waves for a while, then you trade the kite and you can tow him in. Both of you on surfboards, probably strapped. Pulling around the handle when he’s surfing doesn’t seem like a problem. I’ve seen people tow each other around for a bit, but it might be hard to get upwind doing this, and especially would probably be hard to get both of you out through the breaks if you have confused beach break. But if you had a clean reef break, it seems like it would be awesome…

yes! along with kiting up glaciers to do classic big mountain riding on the way down, this stands as one of the greatest accomplishments and most perfect creations in the sporting world.

Check out the last chapter of the Cabrinha Metropolis DVD, it's all about Pete and there is a couple of short shots of him being towed into waves by a kiteboarder. Perhaps on big boards you'd be able to make ground but it would take a bit of working out. Might be worth tracking down these Joyeux chaps or Pete Cabrinha or someone close to them for some how-to. Initial thoughts would be that you would really need to know your shit.

why dont u just try it? i have done this before and yes it does work and is possible but really it sucks for both people, you are better off just going surfing or kiting not trying to do both.
