I know this may cause a food fight, but let me try the question. I'm converting to SLEs and notice a difference on Waroo vs. Link: Waroo has a pully on the bridle and Link doesn't. Anyone know what the flying implications are? Any flying differences anyone knows of (not referring to obvious stuff like 1-pump, ...)? And I doubt it yet, but has anyone flown both?

you can add that pulley to an 06 waroo and fly it, me thinks it is little better turning with the pulley and i like the 12m with the pulley
the 9m i took the pulley off, lost some pop on jumps
you could add it to a link if you wanted
edit: oh that pulley! the waroo pro has four pulley's two on the rear V while the 06 waroo 'classic' does not. I didn't notice that the Link has no pulleys on the kite. color me impressed
if you asked Dax nicely willing to bet he has ridden the 06 waroo and the Link.

Can you take the pulleys off of the waroo and set it up with five lines like the link?

I make a motion for no best cronies to post on this thread...let me just get it out of the way ok.....
Look you dont need to even think about the link. It has 9, count em, 9 struts! It is a total rip off of the waroo...in fact they are paying us royalties. The waroo pro is the best kite ever made, just like all of our new model kites are. I was out on the waroo pre yesterday and jumped 12,000 feet up in the air. Can you do that on a link? It has 9 struts for petes sake and they copied us!

Not bashing but I doubt the Waroo has the canopy structure built into it to allow it to be more 'C' shaped like the LINK.
Slingshot have specifically built the link to go 5th line or SLE

I just had a problem with my pulleys locking up. My fault for not taking care of them, but I thought it would be nice to try the waroo without the pulleys.
thanks

Hi Eduardo
Too early to tell I think. There are all but a few of each around in the hands of genuine non biased riders. If you can, hold off a while to get some feedback in from joe public (if you can pick them out!) or better still try them both out.
regards
Best cronie.
