I went there last summer. Not in Le Morne but in Grand Baie. Really nice spot but you have to be careful with the rocks (when the water is not high). The beach is also not really big (like 25-30m to lauch our kite). The wind was very nice (8-25 knots every day except 3 days with no wind and one with 35 knots).
Mauritius is also very cool to buy new kite
Its a kind of tax free, you take the money back at the airport. For exemple, you can have a new F one trax for 510€ or a new kite (lets say a 8m² complete) for less than 800€.

At the moment only rumours.
You will only know or get invited if you have the right connections, just like everything works here.
