What size were they riding and how did it perform in your opinion, steering, jumpheight and hangtime wise?

I was speaking to my local Naish rep and he has the new raven, he said the kite offers a little more depower and it turns a little faster, the 06 was a cracker of a kite I never experienced a kite that had so much lift and hangtime in it but I feel it wasnt the best kite to ride in the surf and unhook.
So I am going to keep my quiver of 06 ravens and I have the new torch 3 sitting in the garage waiting for some wind, cant wait to test this weapon out in the surf, but in saying that cant wait to test the new raven out either looks like Naish are leading the way again and are going to have another big year.

xray, it is second hand info, I will prefer to test in real life before saying more ... on my side , replacing my quiver every two years seems a good compromise, the 2006 naish vintage was excellent, but we never know, something might happend in the meanwhile .

19? i seen a very short vid of KL do a 9second(claimed-was actually 8sec) on a shockwave.... is that 19 a typo! off the surface of the sea with no towing/pier/cliff/dune soaring gimmicks?
Nope, no typo there. Davo claims the jump is that long and as I was there (Misty Cliffs, Cape Town) whilst he was filming, it definately was huge. He hit a 5ft wave and went up, up, up , up, along, a loop, another loop, up and finally looped as he landed. Super soft finish and massive air. It was honking winds of 30+ knots and he was just grinning and going off.
Can't wait to see Davo's movie, he's really talented and a great guy, so it should be a lot of fun to watch. Look out for "Boardheadz" coming to a movie house near you.

hmm, thats weird. Now I didn't test last years torch in low wind, but I could get going upwind on the 14 torch 3 in about 12 mph. It was on a 7 foot gun, but still. The kite handled exellent.
Hmm, the raven sounds very intriguing. I can feel my old high aspect genes rumble....
