What's up with all the hype on bow kite's. Seems like everyone has purchased one. Well sell your bows and go unpack your old c kite. I just noticed that at the first legit wave contest (Mauritus)was won by a guy on a c kite. Bust out your c's and you might win a contest too. Bring back the C's.

I was thinking maybe he was just the best wave rider...but now that you have cleared things up I see it was obviously because of the kite he was riding. what brand does he fly? I will go right now and buy one so I can win the event next year.

Who
Depowerable kites are about feeling the light sensation of riding a wave, the pull a C provides takes this away. Since riding the Halo and Rebels I have ridden so many nice waves with depower and true wave ridding.
There is little doubt that the C kite does very well in competition. That's not what most people do.
We will see over the next 2 years with the newer hybrid flat kites where the competition goes with C. it will be interesting.

It's not the kite, or the board, or the rider... It's the weather.

from what I have read, Felix Pivec was surfing unhooked most of the time, so no matter what he was riding. Talent is what took him to the win. Big respect.

Unhooked I would have to say is the way forward if you want to take it to the next Level.
Time will tell.
