If you have ever put a Best Bar beside an OR Bar you would see the difference immediatly. And if you couldn't see it ride the Best Bar the try the OR bar and you will deffinatly go back to the Best.
The OR bars have a huge diameter. I personally find them uncomfortable to keep your finger tips wrapped around. The Best Bar is alot more comfortable.
If you want a Bar that is really over looked by alot of people, check out Norths Sceptar Bar. Not the 5th Element.
I'm not sure how the stopper works on it, but the adjustable bar ends is a nice touch.

You can add a front line reride yourself, very easy to do, just need a stainless ring from a chandlers
The 07 Best bar is the best bar that i have used, I'm flying my Sonic 2006 on it and although it sounds silly it has transformed the kite
You can push through the stopper, and depending on how you set the kite up you can have 100% depower. I have 2 knots on my Sonic, one for normal riding where the kite will sit at the zenith and fly depowerd (90%)when u drop the bar and one for total depower (100%) when the bar is dropped
The Best bar does have adjustable widths, not as good as North, I'd say you can add or remove 4-5cm from 45 or 55cm
I currently fly a 9 waroo and 11 Sonic on the 55 cm bar on the smaller setting (51 cm)

I also ride Sonics and I have considered the bar for the new Airush Flow SLE.
It's very similar to the Ocean Rodeo bar , but I've used Airush bar components before and they're quality.

The only thing missing is the long depower throw
You could easily add more tho

I have a North Scepter bar and have re-rigged it for the Waroos.
This is what i did:
1. chucked the de-power cleat(sucks does not work) and de-power line (too short)
2. rigged a 4mm dual line with clamcleat depower cleat. Includes moveable stopper made out a a scrap piece of nylon.(only used on my Windwind 16,5m2 kite). Depower is 45m and 20cm depower adjustment at clamcleat.
3. lengthened the rear line leaders to accomodate the longer center lines
4. lengthend the centerline leash.
Still not good:
The depower line gets wrapped around a bit when pull out. Straps are less likely to do this. No pull-pull adjustment. Looking for a good pull-pull like Best.
No spinning front line attachment.
Good:
Center leash goes to CL loop top and spins around it. Easy to make it right underway. When CL is emergency released leash and CL loop stay on harness and kite flags on one front line.

Have to agree with Benjamin_vine and Dwarf on this one.... the OR punch up bar is pretty awesome(erm....as bars go?!?!?)
Long Depower throw? just slacken the stopper and you can throw the bar so far.....you'll need a dog to fetch it back again!!!
Simplicity? No confusing pulleys to be seen anywhere
Front line leash? 'tis there indeed
Quality? isn't everything made by OR?
Only thing it maybe falls down on is the ability to hold a load, you will find the stopper sliding it's way up the centreline unfortunately
But for sheer ease of use and safety I love this bar(ok.....erm....maybe not "love"....that would be just wrong.....but like it a lot!!!!)
Hope this helps
Dawson
