The best pads and straps around!

Postby 2talented » Fri May 04, 2007 11:33 pm

Just bought a 132 Underground FLX. Great board, pops like mad and yesterday at the wake park, I was throwing down huge airs and it felt like i was landing on pillows. Awesome Board!!,

But...the straps suck. Even kiting with the board when I first got it the board kept coming off. At the wake park, I had to crank down on the straps before I went out just so they wouldnt come all the way off my feet..

So...what are some good suggestions for a replacement. I am not apposed to heelstraps, just never tried them. I have used slingshot, and skywalker and like them, but i am looking for something that will hold on to my feet with out me having to tighten them down super hard.

Suggestions?

Hi, now I sort of liked the stock UG straps..not so much the pads. (I can highly recommend) both the LF (remember to get the adjuatable ones) and the Naish Grav-D's are super good...I'm not sure if the Grav-D would fit though since they have an integrated approach to attaching them to the board....

My only complaint against the LF would be the pads sometimes being a little slippery...but comfortable as hell. They do supply heelstraps, but they will not stand a lot of abuse...

In anycase, the LF ones are good yes.

A.

I'm not a fan of the UG straps either ... board is great though.
I use the NSI Proton Straps.
They are comfy and adjustable ... my favorite to date.

Go out and bu the Liquid force pads. I posted a similar thread about a year ago since I hated my north pads and took peoples advice and went for the LF luxury. Best purchase ever. I have no affiliation and could give a crap about hype. The difference is drastic

Are they the latest footpads? They made them softer with a toeridge. Haven't tried em, but they looked better.
I've got last years FLX with Liquid Force pads on. I like the Underground straps, you've just got to try a few different positions for the straps, as narrow as possible in my case.

I've got an 06 132 FLX and we fitted my mates LF pads to it while in Cape Verde last week. Argued all week who was going to use the board! Now bought my own LF 'luxury' set and it has transformed the board. They are way too expensive, but are just soooo comfortable and secure. Trouble is I want a set for all my boards now, and I have several!
