NORTH PLEASE RESPOND>>>

Postby jimalexandergriffiths1976 » Wed May 23, 2007 9:24 pm

Just arrived in Brazil with 12m Vegas (3 months use in West Aus) and 10m first use here. 3 of the t valves that link the 2 pump system have split and lose all air in about 5 mins (that's on the 12), 2 have also gone on the 10. I don't carry spares like this on trips and I can't get them here. This has pretty much wrecked the trip, all I can do is buy another kite because that's what I came here to do and I don't reckon I can afford 2.
The valve quality is inferior and it's pretty much impossible to get at the strut bladders without risking wrecking the valve.
This isn't what I expected from one of the biggest companies, the quality of the valves is bad and the fact you can't get at them smacks of a badly designed product. Theses kites rip, I love them, but why stuff it up with inferior quality bits which are crucial to making them work right where the saving to the manufacturer is tiny.
I reckon I'll be able to get the replacements from airtime when I get home and actually be able to use the kites but if anyone has any idea how to get these bits in Brazil please let me know.

James

If they were Best they would have been replaced directly-already-with somethin better
If ya had a decent dealer in oz they would have airmailed you some pronto!

Then again Best would not release a shite 2 pump system like that rubbish North sourced from an aquarium or car parts bin or something.

How long are you brand junkies gonna keep buying this rubbish, cam bats that bend and break, clunky cleats that dont grip, ironhearts that don't always release, no this 2 pump shite and the cheapest leading edge materials they can get as well pffft north been burned twice now no going there again

This has nothing to do with being a brand junky mate, rather people who enjoy a sport & expect kit to work as it should...whoever you buy from it's not cheap, brand loyalty has next to nothing to do with this, put yourself where I am now, 3000 Euros plus a flight and 6 weeks of riding to go...WITHOUT A KITE THAT WORKS, and no means of contacting a manufacturer

Email them directly, and Im sure they will find a way to get
them to you asap since it will not cost anything to mail those parts to you,
especially if you are in Brazil that long!.
I have 3 07' kites, and have not had any issues with them,
and they work fabulous!.
will be interested in where you got them, as I have only heard of
problems coming from a small batch of 07's sold early on in OZ.
