which is faster turning 11m Yarga pro or the 06 12m Torch?

Postby windyboy » Fri May 25, 2007 1:50 am

Anyone tried both and comments please. I have a problem with my and my dad quiver. I could stay with my 11m yarga pro but the 05 best bar sucks for my 16m 06 torch. I have an option of getting a 06 torch 12m right now. What should I do. Also which kite has more lift? [/i]

What are your choices?
(1) Buy a bar for the 2006 16m Torch, or
(2) Buy a 2006 12m Torch with bar and use that bar with the 16m Torch, too?

In either case, it sounds like the problem is the bar size when used with the 16m Torch. I use the same bar for both a 12m and a 16m (both Waroos), but it's the bar made for the larger kite (55 cm bar). The larger bar makes my 16m act normally, and my 12m act quickly. I also plan to use the same bar on my 9m making it even more "quickly". It seems to be okay to use a larger bar for a smaller kite rather than vice versa.

Moral of the story: Get whatever sized bar is best for the 16m Torch you already have. If a 12m Torch comes in the package, then Wahoo! You scored! But, if you go for the 12m Torch and it comes with a shorter bar than is recommended for the 16m Torch, then don't expect it to make your 16m Torch any quicker than the Yarga bar did.

Sorry not to have experience on the specifics of your question. Have heard that the people who ride the 2006 Torch really liked them. Don't know if they are any better than the Yarga Pro 'cause people liked the Yarga Pro, too. I thought the 2006 Torch was one of the Naish line's sweet spots.

Just buy a new best or bar 55cm, or similar from another brand.

You don't want to lose that yarga pro - it was one of the sweetest kites I ever flew and jumped to the moon considering it was med aspect.

The yarga pro is the shit. It is that I notice a difference when I fly a 60 cm which is like 23.5 inches and a 22 inch naish shift. I feel the kite is more stable and faster turning and has way more depower then the best bar. But add to the equation my dad needs a 11-12m kite too. I have not seen a kite faster in the same size then my yarga pro. It is so fast.
