The kite looks good (but that's not what it's about)...

What could be the advantage of a dent in your LE?
- Less damage when impact on water, because air can get out?
>>> doesn't seem likely. Mostly water isn't flat anyway. The dent in the LE will only mean the bladder will put more strain on the stitches, so I think it will probably be more sensitive for damage after impact.

- Better airodynamic, less drag?
>>> I'm not an airodynamic expert but i've build some power kites when I was still in school and small changes in the front-shape didn't make much difference. The tips, and trailling edge seem to have more influence on these factors.

I just can't really think of any advantages of this shape other then that it looks....different...

desperation comes to mind...

just the stress points in the airframe alone make me wonder if this will even survive a simple crash .

The future will tell.

I don't see Naish releasing a product that trashes on impact, people would know it before long and it would fail.

Its interesting to see the design changes.

As with the SS proto the LE shape may help the kite not stick to the water.
That's not the main point I think.
The twin tips are like dogteeth.
Delay stall in turns, AOA changes, stabilize airflow.
May reduce drag, may not.
Theoretically.
Been wondering when these features would show up on a new kite....
Looks to have potential!
