2008 Slingshot

Postby jimmyc » Wed Jun 20, 2007 3:32 pm

Anyone have the skinny on when the new gear will be available?

Lunacy boards
Lenten Pro bar
08 Fuel

And whether the 08 Fuel will be a 4/5 line no bridle rig or if it has gone to a bridled setup :x ?

Thanks :thumb: :bye:

Well, that would explain why we haven't seen any discussion yet. In the sky everyone would just assume it is a Link.

Guess its slingy's SLE kite...likely a tweaked Link design. Hopefully with more low end. For all the positive comments of people that like them, it did seem like a pretty hefty kite to me. This one turns out right I suspect it'll be good competition for the Instinct, Yargaroo, Atom, etc. etc.

Man...the kite lineup is going to get confusing again once those bat looking helix style kites come out. Everybody is going to have to produce one of them too. And then there will be those ultra flat bow kites that they're going to all need one of. Its going to end up being 5 kite line-ups for everybody!

C
bow
SLE
bat
ultra flat
:duh:

Todd.... Dude.

You are so right.

Once upon a time there was a thing called a windsurfer. It had one sail, one board. It was fun. It was simple. It required no thought processes.

Like a Triumph TR4.

Its over. U r gonna need an assistant to just choose your gear...

Or a Link that has changed, and yes, are those of us who stuck it out through the bad times to be compensated.

For me, the Link is a brilliant kite that fell on it's face because Slingshot dropped the ball and 'chinese-whispers' took-over, nothing wrong with the kite.
