Hello !!
I'm planning a trip to Australia in December.. I Think I'll spend 25/28 days there so.. I'd like to visit both the cities ( SYD and PErth )
What about accomodations there ? do you suggest any? and where ? (hostels, sharing an apartment.. etc.. )
I have a Fuel 9mt 2007 and a 14mt Octane 2006 and a board 136x37...
thank you !
Pier

if you are a kiting nutcase - don't go to sydney - you may have days of great windless depression (some great surf waves though for these days)
If you go to perth you will ache bad at that time and eventually have trouble moving

Hi Pier
Post on seabreeze.com.au
All your Q will be answered
Kite sizes good for Sydney
Perth will get more uses out of 9m or 7m
Perth normaly has better wind in the summer the Sydney
both great places to vistit.

Also - don't plan on catching a taxi from Perth to Sydney. Its a little far...
Perth definitely has the better kiting - stronger winds and more locations. Nice people too.

Thank you for your replies !
I know Perth is better but.. I have a friend of mine in Sydney .. December will be my last chance to visit the city with "a local" .. she is moving to Italy in January .. So I'm thinking to spend ,first 12/15days with the DOC Fremantle in Perth

and.. the rest in Sydney area.
what about domestic flights ? ( cost, baggage allowed ..etc.. )
thank you again..

the last summer in sydney was really good for kiting....
I kited almost every weekend...
But mostly on my 14m TD......
You'll be lucky to get much use out of your 9m unless you're a stick insect.
Lots of good kiting spots..... and if waves are your thing....some good beaches around for it.
To be close to kiting beaches - and close to the city centre - Manly is a good place to be.
check out seabreeze.com.au.

For Perth info and equipment needs, see the links on the website or contact them.

For conditions and spots to kite around Sydney
Also

And come and see us when you are in Sydney, we will show you on map where to go and introduce you to the locals.
Sydney generally has reliable but softer winds than Perth over summer.
a 9M and a 12/13M would cover both places well.
Cya and
Goodwinds
