Has anyone noticed problems with C kites inverting?
Or is it just a big problem when kites have bridles.

Yo! "Test Case" (or is that Experimental Player...?)
C kites don't invert, they Hindenburg! (said in a voice like the Trix rabbit...) At least, my Aero's never inverted.

Inverting is really dangerous when your on the beach or worse in shallow water with a suicide leash attached. scary stuff.
Flat kites are dangerous.

Woops.... forgot to mention that I've NEVER had my SLE kites invert.....
Yeah, yeah, never say "never"..... knock on wood.... fingers crossed.... salt over the right shoulder (or, is that left shoulder?)...
Heard that kite inversion is dainjrous from a reliable source (a C kiter...) .... like getting hit by a falling meteorite... that's dangeris, too.... same odds...

Based on my experience:
3 years on C kites
2 years on bow kites
200+ days a year kiting
The only time that I have had a kite invert is when I let the lines go slack. Either from: Trick gone wrong or dipping the wingtip into the water while riding.
This does not happen more or less with either type of kite. I have never had a bow kite or a C kite just invert for no reason. I am not speaking for or against any brand, this is just my personal experience.

Well when kiting in high winds or driving the kite fast.
Flat shape is dangerous as it back winds and can invert in flight.
Thats my observations and stories other people have told me.
I say f*** that stick your bridles and flat designs where the sun doesn't shine.
Obviously kites are better off more C shape for stability reasons.
Then why have bridles that wear out if the arc doent need support?
If a good 5 line C depowers similar to a bridle kite.
5 lines has more advantages than 4 lines, if you into advantages.

This is a really questionable statement...
Just 3 advantages off the top of my head:
4 lines is faster to setup, less prone to get tangled in the surf and also, it has to be cheaper.
Many more I guess...
If with a bit of cleverness you can get away with 4 lines and keep good abilities of safety, depower and relaunch, I'm in!

5 lines is pretty handy when you undersatnd them.
Gives a lot of confidence and confidence is what you need to improve your kiting skills.

Again...
400+ days on bow kites.... Not one inversion while flying. Definately never in strong winds. And I am not just "cruising". Same thing with C kites, I never had one invert while flying.
And I haven't seen any flat kite invert while flying under normal conditions. Sometimes when the wind is extremely gusty flat kites, like all kites, can fall out of the sky during a lull. When the lines get tension again almost anything can happen to that kite, including inversions. Again same as a C kite, but usually C-kites stay on the water when inverted.
When Bow/flat kites came on the scene most people didn't inflate the leading edge hard enough at first. Its just not as important to inflate a C kite as hard as a flat kite. A soft leading edge will cause the kite to perform poorly and possibly deform. Again same a C-kite. Most people now inflate their leading edges much firmer.
I honestly don't care what kite you fly. I don't care what anybody flies. I only care about what I fly. Just from my experience, bow kites do not invert for no apparent reason. As you suggest.
