See links below.

I started with a VW Transporter T5 LWB 130 PS Panel van

I specced it up with captain's chairs (with swivel to rear) up front, leather retrim of front chairs, aftermarket window to rear passenger side only, limo tints to passenger and rear windows, colour-matched bumpers and bit of extra chrome, rear spoiler etc.

I then took it to UK based converters ActionVan who did the following

- installed Kenwood double DIN head unit with reversing camera and ipod integration + 2x extra speakers to rear

- soundproofed panels with damplifier mats and then carpeted (van is almost as quiet as my old BMW 5 series)

- installed Variotech rear seats that convert to a 6' plus bed

- installed cabinetry. Bottom third contains (front to back) fridge, gas bottle storage, Eberspacher diesel heater and hot water system, hot water tank, and cold water tank. Middle third contains (front to back) 2 burner gas hob, then sink then 8 feet of empty pass through storage for surfboards and 2x twin tips. Top third is empty to front (above stove) then has laser printer compartment, empty cupboards and then shower unit (pull out shower head).

Electrics include leisure battery, inverter (mains system), fridge, heater and hot water, and a mixture of halogen and LED lighting (I put a couple of halogen spots in the tailgate to create a pool of light when bbqing at night).

Plumbing includes hot and cold water and pressure shower (pulls out at back).

All done by the crew at ActionVan in Hampshire UK. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Best,

North Wind

North Wind! that van is fUCKING! awesome, that would be sweet to go island hoping with you can take your home straight to the beach no need for a stinking hotel or trans :thumb: :thumb:

I don't have a van yet but gunning for a 05 Scion XB with wetsut material for my seat covers, thick customize plastic for the floor, customize sun roof that extends to the back , Ultra mobile PC with a high powered wifi antenna to piggy back of someone shit every 3 to 5 blocks is an unsecure wireless network here. Customized compartment for a small high PSI air compressor with a 20 foot retractable air hose. A booming 1000 watt sound system, Pray fa Wind decals on the front wind shield and kiteboarding companies stickers on the back windshield. I have a dream!!!

First off, NICE VAN.

I have a Scion tC and that car is a great Kite car. I can fit tons of gear into the trunk wtih the seats down and take someone with me for the ride. If you pack smart I have gotten 3 kiters, 3 kites, 3 boards and a big igloo cooler in there.

I work as a corporate lawyer and sometimes have to print things and read them on the weekend. Better to do it in the beach parking lot when there are lulls in the wind than stay at home near the printer. Also beats trying to print stuff out at itty bitty seaside guesthouses with inkjets ...

Best,

North Wind

That is the sweetest thing I've seen in a very very long time. One awesome van. Is that your primary car?
