So whats on your wish list?

Postby docuk » Mon Jul 23, 2007 4:47 pm

i went out the other week and the bar pressure gave my left arm in particular some jip. So much so that i developed a swelling of fluid on my left elbow due to exessive strain to hold the bar.

Thankfully the fluid is now diminishing and my elbow is less painful.

1.
Ideally i would like kite designers to design a something that u put on ur thumb or first finger or both that when placed against the centre line provides enough grip to at least take some of the strain out of holding the bar in one hand.

2.
i would like all bars to incorporate the clever little simple contraption on takoon(?) bars that allow for a different bar length - come on we pay hansomely for bars now so why not this little payback.

3.
i would like all bars as part of a standard regime of safety to have a concealed knife located conveniently on the bar itself (some now do). Sure harnesses can still have knifes - safety redundancies should be standard.

i dont need any of that but i know ppl who do.

my wish list is to not have to pull in the trim to unhook on kites even on cs its like that now. same with hybrids. when u depower to much u cant stear the kite. id like to change that too, waroos fixed that but other companies havent.

valves that stick to the tube! No need to change any on the current designs, just re engineer faulty material stuff so it doesn't put us off the water!

Kites that are fully functional when first introduced to the market with no major upgrade needed! and post sale services that keeps you away from the water the least amount of time possible, too many companies, advertize a great customer support service that very seldom is there when you need it!

instead of bladders, maybe coating the interior of the strut tubes with some kind of airtight polymer would make kites a little more durable. Other than that, kites that don't cost $1000. It sucks paying that much for something that has the same construction as a $20 pool float. It really sucks if you get a tear in the kite on the first flight. I bought a kite brand new this season and got a tear in it during an assisted land on a rough beach. Got the bladder too.
