Wow! Cool idea...I imagine the vents close when the kite is powered up (flatter angle to the wind), and open when depowering due to a higher angle to the wind.
Does this equal good low end with huge range to the high end?
Or am I completely wrong?
Tell me more!

no i'm thinking more on the lines of jet flaps in Flysurfer kites, reducing back stall

Wow, now we know what Ross was working on. And for quite a while from what I hear. Ocean Rodeo will have it at Windfest, Nitinat Lake, Vancouver Island this weekend. With any luck I can give it a go and report back!

Looks like they got a new bridle too. More like a Waroo with the front lines seperate from the back. But the back attachments look like a Rebel or an Instinct.
Good stuff.
I like the looks of this one. I will porbably fly more like a Diablo then a One.

Yeah, noticed the bridals as well.
I ride both the Rise 12m and 8m, and Diablo 12m. The Rise 12m is really equivalent in low end power to almost a 16C for me so it is my light air kite. It will be interesting to see how this kite feels compared to my present ones.

Apparently this bridle is a mod you can do to your 07 Rise kites and it only takes seconds to do.
Once you've done the mod it removes the pulleys that attach your back line to your front lines. Gives you better bar feed back and lighter bar pressure.
I just don't know how you do it.
But I'll find out.

OMG,
I cant beleive how much these guys think outside the box, just look at their history and the massive list of kitesurfing ideas they have invented that are taken for granted now.
I want to see more pictures, what about the new Diablo!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pretty sure flaps are all about preserving laminar flow.
= more efficiency
means smaller kites with more power at speed.
