Scratches and kiteboards...

Every time I'm having a new board I'm thinking, this time I will take care of it .....but every time after several sessions my new board is showing some scratches in the bottom....of course this is not affecting the perfomance of the board...but my question is: IS THIS HAPPENING TO EVERYBODY ? or is just me that always arrive near to shore and had bad luck with rocks around??....

there is any kiteboard around that has some specific feature that will protect the bottom from scratches without compromising perfomance???,

Cheers everybody !!

Dude, when you're riding hard, that's just what's going to happen! Skis, surfboards, skateboards, whatever.

I think with some boards you can try to buff out minor scratches.

It just shows you have more time riding than sitting around polishing your board,

get a board with a PBT topsheet and a durasurf bottom. Basically they are clear/ tough plastic sheets that cover the graphics. its the best you can do. (and does pretty good too)

for each hour of kiting you should spend at least two or three polishing your board. It's like a Harley. Get with the program

We too have scratchy water!! I find riding up the beach on the rail also helps with scratch reduction by talking the top coat off and polishing the glass and resin to create a nice used look. Battered and bruised always looks cool!!
