Bindings for intermediates

Postby Bozo » Sun May 11, 2008 11:00 pm

Hi everyone,

Just sending out a message to my fellow intermediate kiters, I just started jumping (literally, like 2 sessions ago) and most recently tried bindings while kiting for the first time.

Man! what a difference, I loved it! In choppy conditions with no fins (forgot them at home) I was flying upwind. Everything felt way more comfortable from carving, boosting (what little I can do) and just jumping rollers without sending the kite, it was awesome.

So my message is, don't be discouraged, bindings are not just for advanced riders, if you come from a wakeboarding background or just want to try em, do it! Lots of fun. :thumb:

Yo Bozo glad to hear you're stoked on the program. Don't listen to that dip shit below you. They're just bummed cause they can't do their board-offs with bindings.

Anyway, you're always welcome to the darkside at K I T E S C O O P . C O M. More binding oriented. And by more I mean completely.

^^^^^ Not really, their more for riders who want to do actually want to do real wakestyle. Bindings slow down your rotations and smooth out your style to make look more continuous. Also you can pop alot higher with the kite lower in bindings because you can hold down WAAAYY more board and kite.

Bindings are the way for core wakestyle riding for sure.

That being said, they do hold down your feet alot tighter aswell. First time on bindings I went from barely hoping off of kickers and sketching out on the landing to actually popping decent air and being totally comfortable on the landing.
