The Helix have direckt backlines to the kite? (Bridle is only connectet to the frontlines.)
The Helix have strait tip? (Any battens?)
I am not sure. I can't quite remember. I don't think so..I think there is a pulley on the kite...just one though. I'll go through my pics to see...
EDIT: I have been reviewing the pics...(I am glad I have a 12 mp camera ) I think you are right. The backlines a directly connected...that really explain a lot of how it rides.
No, no battens. The kite's arc was way more pronounced. The feel is much more c-ish..I know it is well used term, but when you loop this sucker you'll know what I mean.
The Cult have a bridle that is connectet to both front and back lines? (Like the 2008.)
Just from the wind range of the kites, and how they felt I think there is still a pulley on both the Helix and Cult...I mean there should be more people writing about the kites..plenty of people trying them...the wind tip on the Cults are pulled in a little.
The Torch still rely on the known 5th/Shift bar?
For sure. The bar is upgraded though. A better grip and there is a pretty heavyduty swivel...apart form that the smart loop is still in fashion.
The kites will be out in september like the last few years?
I think I heard the Torch and Cults are first out, and then The Helix. I think the Helix was aimed at Sept or so ....I am not sure about this...which would leave Torch and Cults for I dunno...August or so?
If it is like last year, my dealer got a few kites first and then more later...
Actually, I don't even know if the kites I tried was the final versions...they definitely didn't have the proto look or feel though.
Btw. have you seen the gun surfboard? Wood finish. It looks stunning... I tried a 5'7 quad fish that had a wood finish too. The new surfboard range seems more robust, and the it has quite a few quads in it.
