G'day
Word from my local dealers is that the Cabrinha Sync bindings won't be avaliable in Australia till late August/Early September. Im currently in the process of selling my old footstraps and would hate to have a board with no straps for months. Don't think i can ride a TT strapless.
Are their any stores out there with stock of the Sync bindings?.
Cheers

if the sync's end up not being readily available you may consider the liquid force comp straps. similar idea I believe, with laces to cinch down.

Hi Lex123
If you do sell your old straps, then come and see me and i will lend you something to get you by until the Sync's come into stock.
Australian dealers will be the first in the world to get them, we have a large number on order and you will be one of the first to get them in Oz for sure, hang in there mate.
@ finalsound
Sorry, but the Sync is a totally different concept, yeah they both have laces but thats where the similarity ends.
I have the LF Comps on a board and I have some Sync's, there is no comparison for comfort and fit. The Sync is a revolutionary concept.

Sorry Steve, adding a couple of extra laces to the LF's hardly classifies it as a revolutionary concept, you've been listening to those Cabrinha marketing tapes too much. Granted, they may be more comfortable, in fact, given they are a year later than the LF's and they had time to learn from them, I would be disappointed if they weren't.
To call them revolutionary on the other hand is a load of crap!

... call them as you please.
I've been using LF Comp's for a year and 2 weeks ago I swapped to the new Cabrinha Syncs.
All I can say is that they offer better support, you feel better the board, you cut harder and in rough conditions and in waves you can ride harder with more confidence.
Not revolutionary but, imo, a big step forward.
They are not perfect, though.
The laces come loose after a long session and you'll have to re-adjust them often.
The screws are too short for many boards.
In my set, the end-knots for the ropes were undone, I didn't notice it until the binding went totally loose after a short ride.
Small details but....
Oh, yes: some friends of mine tried them and they didn't like the extra support for their feet. So try them before buying.

If you tried it, do you think it will prevent getting one foot out of the board in jumps ? cause it happens to me sometimes and its dangerous.

I got them because I injured my inner knee joint after landing badly a KL3 attempt. My front foot went out the strap and I twisted my back knee.
I have crashed hard with the syncs and no feet out. I land hard now with more confidence.
Maybe it's a little placebo effect, too
Again, these bindings are not everybody's taste. and they are not the cheapest, either. So just try them before buying, if you can.
