09 Naish Torch "Core Riding" Video

Postby Ben Meyer » Sat Aug 09, 2008 11:54 am

Here is the follow-up video for the Torch 09. There is no Kung-Fu, but plenty of gnarly freestyle by Kevin Langeree. The Torch!!!!

no kung-fu, and the riding wasn't gnarly enough either tbh. if it was then you wouldn't need all that "rain/sleet-effect" image distortion to make it look more edgy.

go back and look at the raven 2006 vid. that deserved "gnarly" in the title/description with those huge waves etc. and the first shockwave vid you guys did with the cool helicopter camera angle.

in comparison to those this material for your championed torch is total ...meh.

sorry, i guess i am in a gnarly mood today, but i can't be far wrong as until now no-one else had replied to your post ben, and this was languishing at the bottom of the page..

Anybody knows who plays the music at the end of the video? I like it.

You might want to wait for the Helix vid rabric, if the raven and shockwave are your thing the Torch probably isnt.

We all know the Torch rips and Kevin kills it - nothing wrong with some artful action to show you a glimpse of a refined kite.

Tried the 12.

What a kite. Much more response and feeling through the bar, the Torch just IMHO made a step forward like we saw from 2006-2007.. The kite must have a smaller LEI, it feels like its faster through the window.

It is still a powerful nice person unhooked, that rips you off for the wakestyle tricks. But where i feel the difference, is in the response, and the ability to steer the kite even unhooked.

Im in love, and will go for the 6-8-10-12.

The video sucks hard... Get Eliot or somebody that can show/edit some core riding be it off Kevin pushing it trick vise, or Reo hitting som real faces. (Well, at least nice to know your better at making kites, than making promo videos. ;) )

PAFF: shit you're not the first who say that about the 12. I am really getting a little unsure...I am sort of aiming for a helix in that size, but now...yoiu have more details on it?

How about the smaller sizes? I am hoping for one that I can use in waves and looping, and in addition to the 12 I heard the 9 is pretty sweet. Did you try other sizes?

a.
