hey good stuff dude, i use google earth sat for my site to show off the places and then get local beach pictures to give a feel of the beach area and so forth... anyhow pictures is worth a thousand words..

this is how i set up my google earth beach location site to display the local esperance kite beaches down in south western Australia.

yes there a few hazards, but that's kiteboarding isn't it?

The pages with Spot Information are not meant as advertising for touring kiters, but more as a guide so that new riders can enjoy the locations without harming themselves or endangering access to the spots. We get plenty of good days, don't worry!

The unfortunate reality with my home spot at Magnetic Island, is that all the cases of kites in trees, kites nearly in powerlines, kiters being dragged up beaches on their guts through sunbathing backpackers........have all been due to visiting tourist kiters with "N.F.I." as we say over here....

we figured it was better to get pro-active about safety rather than get banned later on.

Yeh, you're right. Don't come here. Too many hazards...I've had to swap my kite to one that's more speed kite oriented just to make my get-a-way...

I'll be heading up to Lizard Island tomorrow for a 6 day live-a-board kite trip, I'll post some photos up when i get back.

I heard its got a healthy tiger shark population that love to chase surface poppers.

.........yes plenty of large sharks there.....

.........I heard they particularly like chasing kiters on 5-line kites .........

...never had a problem myself, but.............
