Bow kites good for beginning, nothing more. I learned how to ride with Naish Boxer SLE, but freestyle progress? very poor.
Then I switched to Torch - within one year - 10 times quicker progress comparing to bow.

Absolutely same on the place where I am living - 1 year ago - out of 12 people - 11 bows.
Now? 12 people/ 12 Torches.

Torch, ehm C shape is the best! (apart from wave riding).

a 7m is not used just because it is faster. It is used because it fits the correct wind range for the manouver to be pulled off. If you don't want kite to loop fast you don't use a 16m. A 16m will put you in hospital. You use a kite designed to loop at the optimum speed for its size. The C kites in mention earlier do not loop fast. I not think 10m that can loop in this ways.

How many of you have actually looped a Hadlow Pro who are commenting on just how fast it loops.
The 9m and 7m are like angry bees when I watch the guys locally.

Thats nonsense, These kites are not "angry bees"
IMO Haldow Pros are the eaiest kites on the market to leanrn big loops.
easier than a fuel but take less tecnique, they are much quicker.
I wouldnt say the pay off is as big but its still bloddy fun. the short thin lines, make it so quick through the sky, and yes the thin lines make a big difference.I would never ever do that on a bow kite, they are just not predictable enough nor do they have the required feedback to stay in control.

the 7m hadlow Pros are proably one of the best High wind kites on the market, its so stable, so predictable far from an angry wasp or whatever

(i myself am a Fuel rider)

But here is me looping the hadlow pro in these videos scattered through the both
Starts 55 secs in on the first video
2ND video 2min.08secs

i was running 22m lines standard on the hadlow, and my favourite length. and i now use these on my fuels

it was not massively windy to be perfectly honest that day, but was nice to mess about with the 7 as it was my first go on the hadlow.

mega quick, amazing looping kite, but just a tad quick,

Fuel take alot more tecnique and you get a bigger kick outta cranking it

Weird post. C kites won't die out, they fill a gap.

Bow kites are great for learning, and dumping power on the wave. They turn from the middle more than the corners, so they're not so nice for looping.

C kites haul you off your line on a wave. But they feel rather nice in a loop - consistent power.

I have both - (really) flat, small kite for waves, and C's for when I want to go out in flat water and get really, really clean.
